Jio effect: Reliance Communications' Rs 299 plan will offer unlimited data, voice calls and more

eliance Jio was introduced in September last year, and ever since then the entire telecom space has gone through a major overhaul. To counter Jio's free 4G data and unlimited voice calls other major networks -- Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea Cellular have also introduced several value for money tariff plans to attract more consumers. Reliance Communications isn't far behind in competition either. RCom aka Reliance Communications has now introduced a new Rs 299 rental. And with no doubt, this is to take on Jio. The Noida-based telecom operator took to its official Twitter handle to announce about the Rs 299 plan. Although the company didn't reveal much about the plan, apart from the fact that subscribing to this plan users will not only get unlimited data, voice calls and also will also be able to send unlimited text messages as well.
There is still no clarity on the validity date, daily FUP for data and the rest. The Twitter post reads: "Reliance Mobile introduces the lowest rates ever! Starting at Rs. 299 monthly rental." The move aims to take a direct shot at Jio that has spurred a tariff war by launching cheap data and free calls in the telecom market.
